About the role We’re looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join as Urban Jungle’s first full-time Compliance hire. In this role, you will be exposed to all parts of the business and will have to make sound judgement calls which balance the business’ needs and the regulatory environment it operates in. You will work cross-functionally within Urban Jungle and bring your expertise on compliance matters, as well as work externally with regulatory bodies such as the FCA. You’ll work closely with our Chief Financial Officer, Alan Rennie and get lots of exposure to our senior team, who have previously led some of the world’s fastest growing businesses. Here’s what you’ll get up to: Lead day-to-day compliance decisions across a range of Urban Jungle projects. You'll play a key role in launching new products, updating existing ones, and collaborating with existing and new suppliers, distributors, and underwriters. Take charge of regulatory reporting—internally for the Board and team, and externally with our insurance partners and the FCA. Lead all communication with the FCA and own our correspondence with them. Keep our internal compliance documentation up to date, deliver compliance training, and stay ahead of regulatory changes to implement them across the business. You'll also manage our relationship with external compliance advisors and lead ad-hoc compliance projects as needed. You've read this far Here's what we need from you: At least 3 years of experience in a Compliance role, in the financial services sector. A good understanding of the FCA Handbook and Consumer Duty. Proven ability to question others whilst building strong relationships around the business. You’re ambitious, and eager to progress quickly to grow alongside the company. You apply yourself to everything you do, recognising the difference that makes to the business.
