Water Meter Technician Competitive van bonus Sawbridgeworth We Care about the Environment and if you do too, we’ll have a lot in common…. We are proud to be working with Affinity Water, who provide safe drinking water to 3.8 million people, but as water resources are being squeezed (growing population, lower rainfalls etc.), we’re helping them to take proactive steps, to solve the upcoming shortfall between supply and demand. This is where you come in As a Smart Water Meter Technician, you will be upgrading existing meters to state-of-the-art smart water meters, so people can see how and when their water is being used. The installation of smart water meters will also help us identify any leaks or wastage, so action can be taken to prevent unnecessary water loss. To do this, you will use the latest tech to upgrade and link the new smart meter to the closest mast, then explain to your customer how their new smart meter works Can you do it? If you can drive, are happy working outdoors and physically fit, comfortable with technology and have great customer service skills the answer is probably YES – and we would love to hear from you We are focused on recruiting colleagues based on their potential. It doesn’t matter about previous work experience, as we’ll teach you everything you need to know – a great work ethic and a willingness to learn is more important to us. Please note you must be at least 19 to attend the training. What do you get in return? From day one you will join our skills bootcamp, where you'll meet your new colleagues and start to receive high quality training that will set you up for success. In addition to the salary and benefits, you will also be given a van and we have put in place a productivity bonus that is highly rewarding and achievable. Most activities will be outdoors so you will be provided with high quality PPE to protect you from the elements.
