We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Gas Installation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and Maintenance:
* Install, maintain, and repair commercial gas systems, including boilers, heaters, and other gas appliances.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety.
* Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
* Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance with local and national gas codes.
* Conduct safety checks and risk assessments to prevent hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
* Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Technical Expertise:
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
* Use specialized tools and equipment to measure, cut, and install gas pipes and fittings.
* Conduct pressure tests and leak detection to ensure system integrity.
Customer Service:
* Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the work performed.
* Offer professional advice and recommendations on system upgrades and energy efficiency improvements.
Collaboration:
* Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to coordinate activities and ensure timely project completion.
* Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on the latest technologies and industry practices.
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in an installation/maintenance role.
* Strong technical and mechanical skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Specific Qualifications
* Full UK driving license.
* Hold in-date Commercial Gas Tickets.
* Domestic Gas Qualifications - Desirable.
