Senior Hardware Engineer - Ashford, Kent

Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital/analogue electronics and firmware design of products from concept through to production, with a focus on FPGA and VHDL
2. System architectural design and concepts
3. Schematic and board layout using Altium Designer CAD tool
4. Prototype build, test, and fault-finding
5. Specification and requirements capture
6. EMC and electrical safety compliance support
7. Cost model generation, RoHS analysis, and compilation
8. Possible oversight of junior engineers
Ideal Candidate Profile:
9. Demonstrable experience in digital and analogue design
10. Embedded programming expertise in C, FPGA VHDL, and advantageous experience in C++, .NET, C#, Java, or Python
11. Familiarity with CAD tools, such as Altium, for schematic capture and PCB layout
12. Some exposure to EMC compliance design techniques and knowledge of safety and EMC standards
13. Clear and concise report writing with good attention to detail
14. Competency with Microsoft Office products
15. Willing to take on tasks as deemed necessary for the project
16. Good presentation and communication skills
17. Ideally 8+ years of design experience, though exceptional candidates with lower experience will be considered
