Job Title: Technical Officer
Location: Homebased (UK)

Role Purpose
To perform technical reviews (including Audit files, Certification Application, Auditor’s competence) and certification decision of BRCGS Scheme related certifications in compliance with Scheme owner, Accreditation, BV CER MS and BRCGS standard’s requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Review and evaluate, using appropriate checklist, the technical content, accuracy, and relevance of audit report.
2. Identifying gaps, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement in audit reports.
3. Provide feedback with Auditors and Certification Decision Makers.
4. Able to make certification decision for products for which he/she is authorised for.
5. Able to review Auditor’s competence according to defined criteria.
6. Able to review Certification applications according to defined criteria.
7. Collaborate with other Technical Reviewers to ensure consistency and alignment.
8. Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of their review activities and recommendations.
9. Maintain all relevant documentation using various tools, e.g., CMX, SharePoint, etc.
About You
1. Experience working in the food industry.
2. Third party auditor qualification.
3. Experience of third-party GFSI auditing.
4. Relevant experience of ISO 17021 and 17065 implementation or auditing.
5. Able to work as a team.
Qualifications Required:
1. Degree in food-related or bio-science discipline.
2. Third party GFSI scheme BRCGS & FSSC training at auditor level.
3. Training - Accreditation Requirements (ISO 17065).
4. HACCP training – minimum of 2 days.
