Project Manager (QHSE)
Location: Reading/ Hybrid
About the Role:
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping and driving departmental strategy within a dynamic and forward-thinking QHSE team?
We’re looking for an experienced Project Leader with a proven track record in QHSE and a strong background in the Nuclear and Defence sectors. In this role, you’ll drive utilisation and profitability while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across high-profile projects.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of an established QHSE department through strategic leadership, client optimisation, and commercial direction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the UK Head of Discipline to identify areas for improvement and maximise efficiency.
* Develop and implement strategies to accelerate departmental profitability.
* Collaborate with QHSE professionals to identify opportunities for client optimisation across multiple projects.
* Represent the department in client meetings, building strong relationships and identifying new opportunities.
* Ensure strategies align with statutory requirements, industry best practices, and company policies.
* Oversee compliance with contractual, legal, and process requirements, providing expert guidance to project teams.
* Engage with QHSE project teams and supply chain partners to foster strong relationships and drive cultural improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
* NEBOSH Construction / General Certificate (essential)
* Degree in a relevant discipline (desirable)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in highly regulated industry environment
* Experience working within project delivery teams
* Proven ability to manage confidential and commercial information
* Experience preparing and presenting management reports and insights
* SC clearance is preferrable for this role and the successful candidate must be willing to obtain DV clearance
