Autism Ventures are looking for creative and passionate Social Enterprise Support Workers to join our friendly team at WeGrow in Southport and work alongside young people to complement their education.
WeGrow grows and sells fresh produce within the local community and has ambitious plans to develop further seasonal offers. We provide engaging and healthy outdoor supported work placements for young autistic people to improve their employability, support their well-being, and enhance their sense of achievement in a peaceful setting.

More about the role
Alongside the people we support at WeGrow, you will complete tasks on site and in the community which include:
* Growing of fruit, vegetables, and herbs.
* Delivering local produce to the community and providing excellent customer service.
* Contributing to growing-related tasks such as vegetable cultivation, soil preparation, weeding, watering, propagation, and planting.
As well as outdoor activities, your role will also involve working collaboratively with the Work Placement Co-ordinator, ensuring that the people we support are achieving the most from their work placements and are learning new skills to build confidence and independence in the workplace.
Skills and requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a keen interest in vegetable growing or agriculture. Previous experience within a social care setting is desirable but not essential, as we have a dedicated team who will support you in your new role.
The successful candidate is required to hold a full driving licence to drive the enterprise van, transport goods between sites, and assist with sales and deliveries.
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure for the successful applicants, costs of which will be met by Autism Initiatives.
