Launceston Close Surgery in Winsford is looking for a qualified Pharmacy Technician for 30 - 34 hours per week to join our friendly practice team. Our ideal candidate will have experience in general practice and hold a nationally recognised qualification such as the Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technician. The candidate must also be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have achieved or be working towards the Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (PCPEP).
Main duties of the job
To assist the Pharmacist with the co-ordination of patient care activities to include docman, medication queries, co-ordinating various clinics and appointments to aid patient care and achieve targets set by the various organisations. To ensure continuity and care for all patients taking medication and to form good working relationships with community pharmacies, hospital pharmacies and other healthcare providers. To support the Practice Manager and Pharmacist with regards to targets for QOF, IIF, PCN DES, Prescribing Incentive Scheme and other targets set by various organisations. This is a developing role and further support, and training will be provided as and when necessary.

The practice has approximately 5,400 patients and we are high achievers for QOF and other patient-related and contract-related targets. The practice is a very family-oriented practice of many years standing and has a variety of healthcare professionals and admin staff including GPs, a pharmacist, practice nurses, a healthcare assistant, a GP Assistant, plus reception and admin staff.
We are one of 5 practices who form part of Winsford Primary Care Network and work closely with the other 4 practices to provide a range of services across a total PCN population of approximately 38,000 patients in Winsford. Our PCN includes Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, Physiotherapists, Care Coordinators, Social Prescribing Link Workers, and GP Assistants.
