Here’s the facts about the role:
As a Tenancy Sustainment Coach, you’ll provide intervention services for our customers facing serious tenancy breaches (such as rent arrears, anti-social behaviour, and more). Using Trauma Informed principles, you’ll offer tailored support to help customers manage their behaviour, maintain their properties, and sustain their tenancies with us. You’ll work with the customer to develop clear support plans, engaging with any hard-to-reach customers and building relationships with partner agencies, ensuring customers have access to appropriate support and resources.
You’ll hold a caseload of customers with various support needs, working to transition them from more intensive support to a less intensive monitoring approach. In this role you’ll closely monitor and measure outcomes, maintain accurate customer records, and provide culturally sensitive services, including arranging translation services when needed. Your efforts will also focus on highlighting any serious risks, making safeguarding referrals, and promoting digital communication to our customers.
In this role, you’ll also work with other teams across the business to ensure a cohesive approach to tenancy management. You’ll maintain professional boundaries and demonstrate resilience in sometimes challenging situations. Ultimately, our goal is to empower customers to take control of their tenancies.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you’ll have an awareness of the social housing sector and knowledge of the benefits system and social services/support services. You’ll have an understanding of Trauma Informed practice and possess the communication skills needed to support our customers, adapting communication styles to meet their needs. You’ll have previous experience working to support vulnerable people and experience working with partner agencies to provide comprehensive support. You’ll have the organisation & time management skills needed to balance a busy schedule and prioritise your own workload. You’ll need to be confident using technology and competent with Microsoft packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
