Our Opportunity: As a passionate professional with expertise in the electricity and electrification of infrastructure value chain, you will be involved in technical delivery of high value assessments on behalf of DNV’s clients. This is a highly challenging and often demanding role, requiring a strong technical leader able to work at formidable pace to drive projects forward in complex stakeholder environment, whilst managing multiple competing technical workstreams. The role will primarily require you to work with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects providing risk management and safety/fire safety support, market risk management support and due diligence studies. In addition, you may be required to with projects related to infrastructure electrification such as vehicle charging, grid upgrades and modernisation, novel technologies. You will have real accountability and responsibility, so will relish the opportunity to assist in mentoring colleagues who are new to the underlying technologies, as well as using your commercial awareness of decarbonisation, project management and consultancy skills to help our team evolve. What will you be doing? Work in multi-disciplinary teams on major projects, including due diligence work, covering technical and commercial aspects of investments in BESS and charging infrastructure Establish, build, and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues, funding bodies and other stakeholders Project manage and direct the activities and performance of consultants, professional services suppliers, and contractors Lead the preparation and delivery of reports for clients globally Manage budgets and ensure that financial administration, monitoring and reporting is of the highest standard Responsibilities We value all our people and the contributions they make to our business, so it’s important that our rewards make us all feel valued here. Qualifications Demonstrable technical experience gained within the electricity sector as a technical and delivery expert working across the value chain. You will also have a track record in building and maintaining strong stakeholder and partnership relationships to foster a one team mindset in delivery Demonstrable technical expertise in power industry (electrical systems and safety) Highly proficient technical reporting and analytical ability covering a wide variety of the electric mobility value chain such as BESS technology, developed and emerging markets, review of novel technologies, new battery chemistries, inductive charging etc The experience may include direct experience of BESS infrastructure deployment Identifying and nurturing customer relationships, discovering needs, and quantifying how DNV can add value Monitoring market developments and shaping company business development activities to take advantage of emerging opportunities Leading and assisting with the preparation of proposals in response to formal invitations to tender received from a wide range of clients, including corporates, trade associations, local authorities, European Commission and UK government departments.
