Required Skills Children's Homes Deputy Job Summary Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people? We are currently recruiting for two Deputy Manager positions for a residential care home based in Huyton, Liverpool. This 5-bed home specialises in providing care to young people with learning disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. Role Overview: As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager in leading and managing the care home. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading and managing a team of residential staff Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support Providing direct care and support to young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties Handling administrative and organisational tasks with efficiency and attention to detail Requirements: A strong grounding in understanding the needs of young people with learning disabilities, particularly those with autism Experience in residential childcare, with at least 3 years’ experience, and at least 1 year in a supervisory role NVQ/Diploma Level 3/4 in Children and Young People (essential), with a Level 5 Diploma and/or relevant management qualifications being an advantage Strong leadership, organisational, and administrative skills Experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to cover shifts as needed. Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience).
