CSA Quantity Surveyor - Data Centres – Enfield
Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub-Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier:1 main contractors involved in ‘technology’ schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi-Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects.
Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced CSA Quantity Surveyor to join their European Data Centre team based on a hyper-scale data centre build in Enfield,
Responsibilities
Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil, structural, and architectural works, considering materials, labor, and overhead costs. This includes assessing initial project budgets and ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints.
Contract Administration: Oversee the preparation, review, and management of contracts related to CSA works. This involves ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions and managing variations or changes in scope.
Cost Control and Monitoring: Continuously monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle, tracking expenses, managing cash flows, and updating financial reports to ensure the project remains on budget.
Procurement Management: Assist in the procurement process by providing advice on the selection of suppliers and subcontractors for CSA works, managing tendering processes, and negotiating contracts.
Measurement and Valuation: Conduct regular site measurements and valuations for work completed. Ensure that payments to contractors are accurate and made in line with progress, and manage claims for variations or delays.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to the CSA works, assess their impact on the overall project budget and timeline, and implement strategies to mitigate these risks. This includes monitoring the performance of subcontractors and suppliers to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Skills, qualification & experience:
3+ years' experience in a similar role
Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying
Attention to detail and analytically proficient
Data Centre experience would be advantageous but not essential

Up to £75,000 per annum + Package
