An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Team Leader to join a leading global service provider. This role offers the chance to oversee a busy Accounts Payable function, managing a team of 8 Purchase Ledger Clerks and ensuring smooth and efficient processing of invoices, payments, and supplier accounts. What you'll do:
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8 Purchase Ledger Clerks, ensuring high performance and engagement.
* Oversee the accurate and timely processing of high-volume supplier invoices across multiple entities.
* Manage relationships with key suppliers, resolving queries and ensuring timely payments.
* Oversee supplier statement reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
* Prepare and present monthly Accounts Payable reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and insights.
* Drive continuous improvements within the Accounts Payable function, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.
* Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations, including VAT compliance.
* Identify training needs within the team and organise relevant training sessions to upskill team members.
What you bring:
* 2+ years in an Accounts Payable supervisory or team leader role within a large organisation.
* Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
