Main duties of the job Vet and accept imaging requests and advising medical officers of theappropriateness of requests.To undertake intravenous injection of contrast media by hand or by high pressure injector (over 16 years old) in line with the injection policy.To undertake equipment quality assurance in line with QA programme and take appropriate action.Interpret images sufficiently to discuss with a Consultant Radiologist further sequences within agreed protocols. In absence of Radiologist use experience and judgement of previous cases to take further images to demonstrate an area of abnormality. Monitoring and clinical assessment of student radiographers.Staff development and training. Participate in and undertake Audit and research projects.Assist with development of procedures and protocols.
