A new opportunity has arisen in our highly regarded Employment and Business Immigration team for a talented and driven Associate, with 2-4 years’ PQE, to support clients on a wide range of people related matters.
The role
You will be supporting a diverse range of clients ranging from large corporates, well-known regional businesses, and fast-growing SMEs in a myriad of sectors. Your work will be varied and will include:
* a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters and general advisory work
* your own caseload and client relationships – we pride ourselves on taking the time to get to know each client and you will play a key role in nurturing new and existing relationships
* supporting our transactional teams including corporate, commercial, and business restructuring and insolvency on people issues
* supporting senior colleagues on complex matters
* designing and delivering in person and virtual training and presentations
* assisting with business development and marketing initiatives
What we are looking for
To be successful you will need to be working as an employment law specialist, as part of a busy and highly regarded employment department with between 2-4 years’ PQE experience (this is important due to the requirements and structure of the team and sadly we are unable to consider anyone at NQ or more senior levels).
We carry out very little work on behalf of employees or trade unions and therefore are seeking someone with experience gained mostly representing employers.
To enjoy working at Clarion and thrive in the firm you will need to be motivated, a team player, commercially minded, adaptable to change, calm under pressure and be able to work equally well autonomously and collaboratively. You will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to develop strong internal and external relationships and be committed to our values.
The role is based in Leeds with the ability to work from home 2 days per week.
The team
Our employment team is made up of highly respected lawyers and is consistently listed in Chambers and the Legal 500. It prides itself on the pragmatic and commercial based advice it offers clients on a range of complex issues and is there to ensure early intervention to head off trouble, reduce risk and protect the clients’ interests.
Clarion has a great reputation as an employer of choice and our culture is vital to our ongoing success. We genuinely care for our employees and hire only the best talent (good people with outstanding technical skills). In exchange for your efforts you can expect:
* 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, and your birthday off (with the option to buy or sell holiday, and flex some bank holidays)
* Medical Cash Plan
* Reward Scheme
* Pension and Life Assurance
* Generous ‘family friendly leave’
* An array of wellness benefits (including onsite yoga and mental health programmes)
* A wide range of additional benefits such as Vivup, reduced travel/parking charges and a cycle to work schemes with fully secure bike storage on-site
As a valued member of the team, you will also have the opportunity to join a number of clubs and committees that reflect your passions and interests, both in and out of work, whilst making friendships that last for life.
If you believe you have the skills and experience to become Clarion’s next Employment Associate, please send your CV and any supporting information to: join.us@clarionsolicitors.com.
