We are looking for a caring individuals who shares Quarriers value to join our team as an Intensive Support Practitioner within Quarriers Village.Your new opportunityQuarriers are currently recruiting experienced part time Intensive Support Practitioners (Nightshift) to join our Countryview Respite service for Children and Families. Countryview is set in the idyllic location in Quarriers Village and provides support to children who have complex needs including medical complexities. The service offers 24 hour support to children and has a sensory room, beautiful outdoor garden with swings and playhouse for children to enjoy time and time again.As an Intensive Support Practitioner (Nightshift) you will be supporting children during the night should they require. You will be part of the team and working with others to ensure children are comfortable, administer medication and maintain a safe environment for all during the waking nightshift. You will be skilled and an expert in managing conditions and support needs such as epilepsy, gastrostomy feeds, dysphagia, oxygen/c-pap therapy, neurodiverse children with autism, ODD, OCD and Dyspraxia. Some of the children you will be supporting can display distressed behaviour and significant complex trauma and you will be required to use your expertise to offer behavioural support when required. Working pattern: This is a part time, permanent role and waking nightshifts are 11 hours, shift times start at 9pm - 8am. Nightshift practitioners will be paid an enhanced hourly rate of £14.51 between the hours of midnight at 7am. What you will need to be consideredEssential you hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) and HNC.
