Role profile: Reporting to the Global Indirect Tax leader, you will be responsible for assisting in the management and support of tax technology requirements, with a main focus on indirect tax and some involvement in direct tax processes where needed, across all jurisdictions in which LSEG operates. ROLE SUMMARY: In this position, you will play a key role in providing tax support for system-related matters ensuring tax requirements are effectively integrated into business systems and processes, to support global tax compliance and operational efficiency. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Support the integration of tax requirements into business, accounting, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fusion, EBS) to ensure global tax compliance and operational efficiency. Provide tax input on system-related matters, including ERP configurations, tax determination logic, technology projects, system enhancements, and process changes. Assist in the review and validation of tax-related system configurations, including indirect tax engines to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. Collaborate with Tax, Technology, Finance, and Business Operations teams to address system-related tax issues, including data flows and mapping within business and accounting systems, and ensure effective solutions. Support system testing activities to verify the correct application of tax rules and logic, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) where required. Identify opportunities to improve tax processes through automation and technology, including process automation tools and data-driven solutions, to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks. Assist in resolving system-generated tax errors, supporting troubleshooting activities related to tax determination and compliance reporting tools. Maintain an understanding of tax requirements and their impact on ERP, business, and accounting systems, as well as upstream processes that influence tax reporting and compliance. Contribute to the documentation of tax-related system processes, controls, and governance frameworks to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance. Support audit and compliance activities by providing system-related tax information, ensuring data integrity across reporting platforms and compliance tools. WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Qualified accountant or tax professional with a strong financial accounting background. Strong understanding of indirect tax, including technical knowledge and process awareness, with exposure to direct tax considered an advantage. Experience working with ERP systems, a strong focus on Oracle Fusion, knowledge of SAP and Oracle also valued, along with an understanding of tax configuration and system logic. Proven ability to provide tax input on technology projects, including implementations, enhancements and process improvements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, assess and resolve system-related tax issues. Ability to contribute to the development of tax technology strategies, Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
