We are responsible for all local government functions, from highways and planning, to social care and housing. We are a team of over 1,000, working across hundreds of services, making us one of the largest employers in Torbay.
Torbay Council and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust have one of the most longstanding integrated services for Adult Social Care and Health in the Country.
We are looking for someone with passion and commitment to improving the quality of Adult Social Care Services in Torbay.
You will be a dynamic individual who ideally has experience of Quality Assurance systems within adult Social Care including Care Quality Commission compliance for Local Authorities.
You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver this exciting programme of work.

Skills
Essential:
* Ability to negotiate and influence internal colleagues, other public and private sector organisations, and key partners to secure improved outcomes.
* The ability to manage projects taking full accountabilities for all aspects of delivery, owning the projects, and ensuring that all stakeholders are fully engaged.
* Ability to assimilate, understand, analyse, interpret, and communicate complex information and data to inform creative decision making.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills and competent use of PowerPoint.
Knowledge
Essential:
* A good understating of the Local Authority Inspection regime from a national and local perspective.
* An understanding of the application and impact of eligibility criteria in health and social care services.
* Knowledge of Equality Diversity and Inclusion frameworks for adult social care.
* Knowledge and understanding of key health and social care legislation.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Experience of the Adult Social Care Inspection regime and/ or Peer reviews in Local Government.
* Experience of active involvement in local ADASS networks.
