Central Integrated Health Community (CIHC) Lead Medication Safety Pharmacist (Job share) 15 hrs/week Band 8b To cover period from 18/3/25 – 31/10/25 A rare opportunity has arisen for a compassionate, clinical and dynamic leader with a proven track record of pharmacy clinical services delivery, to take up a secondment role for 2 days a week within the Central Integrated Health Community (CIHC) Pharmacy Safety Team. This role will be a job share with the current Lead Medication Safety Pharmacist, who undertakes the other 22.5hrs/week. The successful candidate will have the responsibility in developing and implementing strategies around medication safety and leading on local and national directives relating to medicines management safety. The role will provide expert clinical advice to incident investigations involving medications including leading on actions plans for serious incidents, never events and inquests relating to medication safety improvements. Main duties of the job This role is a key member of the CIHC MDT, and you will work closely with senior clinical and operational staff, to implement the transformational changes, goals and recommendations aligned to the long-term plans and goals described within local and national NHS priorities. Reporting to the Lead Clinical and Patient Safety Pharmacist, you will also be contributing to shaping the future direction of pharmacy so that it meets the needs of the users, now and in the future.
