Senior Mechanical Engineer – Avionics & Engine Sensors
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team, designing and developing cutting-edge avionics products and robust engine sensors. Based at our site in Fareham, this is a site-based role with the flexibility to work from home one day a week when work permits. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing structured engineering solutions across the entire product development lifecycle. You will manage your own work and lead allocated resources to meet technical, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal and external aerospace customers, suppliers, and engineering teams across mechanical, systems, and hardware disciplines to deliver innovative solutions.
Take ownership of formal mechanical engineering requirements, ensuring compliance through validation, design description, and verification methods such as testing, inspection, and analysis.
Estimate, plan, and proactively track work progress to support project managers and meet deadlines.
Lead cross-functional teams on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and product improvements, acting as a subject matter expert in mechanical engineering.
