Job Description
Project Lead - Submarines Enterprise Collaborative Hub
Full Time
Bristol/Hybrid
Why Rolls-Royce?
Join us as a Project Lead in the Submarines Enterprise Collaborative Hub as part of Rolls-Royce Submarines and you will uncover a unique opportunity to work with wide-ranging stakeholders, drawing on submarine programme knowledge, data, and information from diverse sources to deliver integrated portfolio performance assessments and thought-leading insights.
The SDE team is based in Bristol, UK. Applicants will need to be available to attend on-site meetings 2 days per week with occasional UK travel to enterprise/partner sites. Hybrid working is otherwise supported for this role and flexible working requests will be considered; relocation support options are available, subject to applicant circumstance, for seconded terms.
In this role, you will work with multiple organisations as part of the Submarine Delivery Enterprise (SDE). The SDE is tasked with collaboratively identifying levers to enhance UK submarine capability and availability through integrated submarine enterprise assessments and developing collaborative project arrangements through which MoD and industry partners can operate together at pace, adapting and connecting to meet increasing programme demands.
What we offer
We offer excellent development, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits. These include bonus, employee support assistance, and employee discounts.
What you will be doing
* Support the development of the collaborative hub: networks, methodology, and approach.
* Build networks to collate knowledge, information, and data, and explore enterprise scenario modelling tools.
* Apply critical, analytical, and strategic thinking over inputs to assess enterprise performance and derive insights.
* Author portfolio assessments, technical reports, and proposals; working with a wider team of analysts.
* Contribute to the development of a long-term business case for project continuity and roll-out of recommendations.
Who we're looking for:
* Strong experience in critical, analytical, and strategic thinking will be key in this role. A project, business, or strategic background and/or scenario modelling experience would be advantageous.
* Stakeholder engagement/management; strong communication skills, the ability to identify and engage relevant people for consultation, and the ability to translate complex information to clear briefs.
* Experience in project management practice and business change or improvement, including formal qualifications (e.g. APM, ChPP status, Lean Six Sigma) would be advantageous.
* Knowledge/experience of working in the defence nuclear sector is a significant asset but not essential.
To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don't currently have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
