We are looking for a Senior Ad-Tech Product Manager who will be responsible for the strategy, planning, delivery, marketing and in-life optimisation of our broadcast planning & scheduling software. Our software is undergoing transformational change as the business moves towards algorithmic ad placement using machine learning and other advanced technology. Our Product Manager will own this product transformation.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
* Vision and Roadmap: Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and market opportunities.
* Innovation: Working in collaboration with clients and prospects, identify opportunities for new features and innovations that meet market demands and enhance user satisfaction.
Product Planning and Execution
* Requirements Gathering: Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements and feedback and working closely with engineering to ensure products are built to specifications.
* Feature Specification: Define detailed specifications for product features and collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure requirements are fully understood.
* Product Development Lifecycle: Oversee the product development process from ideation through launch, ensuring that the product meets quality standards and customer expectations.
* Manage and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring that the team is focused on work that maximizes value and aligns with the product strategy.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
* KPI Tracking: Define key performance indicators for the product and track these metrics to assess the success and health of the product.
* Feedback Loops: Establish continuous feedback loops with users and clients to gather insights and improve the product.
* Optimization: Continuously analyse product performance and user engagement to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
* Budget Management: Manage the product budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI.
* Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analyses for product features and investments to support decision-making processes.
* Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product team, encouraging experimentation and risk-taking within reasonable boundaries.
* Lead retrospective reviews of product successes and failures to refine processes and improve future product initiatives.
Experience and Qualifications Required
Industry Experience
* Ad-Tech Knowledge: Significant experience in the programmatic advertising technology sector is essential but experience in audio highly desirable. Understanding of programmatic advertising, digital marketing trends, audio ad formats, and analytics will be beneficial.
* SaaS Experience: Proven track record in managing B2B SaaS products and familiarity with cloud technologies.
* Audio Broadcasting: Background in audio technologies, streaming services, or similar fields would help the candidate in understanding the specific challenges and opportunities in your industry.
Deep Product Management Skills
* Strategic Planning: Ability to define product vision and roadmap aligned with business goals. Experience in market analysis, competitor analysis, and setting strategic direction.
* User Requirements Capture: Experience of, and established processes to achieve, solid user requirements capture. The ability to understand what users actually mean when stating requirements, and their personal and business drivers behind these are key skills for this role.
* Execution and Lifecycle Management: Demonstrated experience in managing the complete lifecycle of a product from conception through launch and into post-launch analysis and iteration.
* User-Centric Design: Knowledge of UX/UI design principles, with a focus on creating intuitive and effective user interfaces for both client-facing and backend systems.
Project Planning & Management Skills
* Agile Project Planning & Management: Experience and certifications in agile project planning and management are essential for this role.
* Waterfall Project Planning & Management: Whilst most software development is achieved using agile principles, some client projects require experience of requirements capture and development using waterfall. As such, certification such as Prince 2 would be very desirable.
Technical Skills
* Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions, proficiency in tools like SQL, Excel or similar for data manipulation and analysis.
* Technology Understanding: Thorough understanding of software development processes and methodologies, ability to work closely with engineering teams, and some hands-on experience with programming or scripting languages could be beneficial.
Leadership and Communication
* Team Leadership: Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders, including developers, sales teams, and marketing personnel.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate product features and benefits to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* External Stakeholder Management: A key requirement of this role is liaising with senior stakeholders and project teams within enterprise customers. Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders, presenting trade-offs, prioritisations and business case alignment are important skills required by this role.
Education and Certification
* Relevant Degree: A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Product Management Certification: Certifications like Certified Product Manager (CPM) or Agile Certified Product Manager and Product Owner (ACPMPO) can be advantageous.
* Project Management certifications in both agile and waterfall planning methodologies.

* Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex challenges in a dynamic industry environment.
