Position Overview:
Currie & Brown is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior QS Engineer – Civil to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling the quantity surveying, cost management, and project execution activities in high-rise residential real estate projects, specifically those of G+18 floors or higher.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the quantity surveying tasks for civil works, ensuring effective cost control, budgeting, and timely project delivery.
* Prepare and manage rate analysis, bill of quantities (BOQ), and final bill checking for civil work.
* Review and study project drawings for accurate quantity take-offs, material estimation, and technical assessments.
* Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve any issues related to civil works and costs.
* Oversee the preparation of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and ensure quality and accuracy of civil construction work.
* Finalize the rates for extra items and perform cost analysis and value engineering for civil works.
* Ensure compliance with relevant IS Codes (including IS 1200) and industry standards.
* Assist in managing contractor payments and verifying RA/Final Bills.
* Work proactively to identify and resolve potential cost escalations or delays related to civil works.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Educational Qualification: BE / B-Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
* Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying for civil works in real estate projects, with at least 3-4 high-rise residential projects (G+18 or above) completed from start to finish.
* Knowledge of Mivan Shuttering for formwork in high-rise buildings is a must.
* Technical Skills & Knowledge:
* Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD for quantity take-offs and material estimation.
* Strong expertise in BBS (Bar Bending Schedule), Rate Analysis, Drawing Study, and Quantity Take-off.
* In-depth knowledge of IS 1200 and other relevant IS Codes.
* Strong understanding of value engineering, contractor payment processes, and RA/Final Bill checking.
* Other Skills:
* Fluent in English and Hindi (both written and spoken).
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized with excellent problem-solving abilities.
