Level 3 Early Years Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship – Marsh Lane Day Nursery
The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to complete a Level 3 Early Years Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship at Marsh Lane Day Nursery as a Room Leader
About Marsh Lane Day Nursery;
Established in 1995, Marsh Lane Day Nursery Ltd is set in a lovely and quiet location on Marsh Lane, We are easily accessible from either Ilchester Road or Coombe Street Lane and the nursery itself is located away from the road with a private car park for the parents to use.
The Nursery has three pleasant and secure outdoor areas, which have access to Yeovil Recreation Centre and is only a short walk to a local farm and country walks. We also have our Bumble Bee and Ladybird rooms which has lots of space to crawl and explore. This is a very spacious room with a cosy cot room so all the children are able to have a quiet rest.
Our Butterfly rooms are for the children to enjoy free flow play and our Pre-school room provides a wide range of stimulating activities for those getting ready to go to school
Meals are prepared fresh on the premises by our Cook who takes pride in meeting all children’s requirements.
Our staff have a wide range of Early Years qualifications ranging from a level 2 to a level 6, we are all passionate about updating our skills regularly with various courses. All staff are First aid trained and hold Food Hygiene certificates which get updated accordingly.
Your roles and responsibilities will include;
1. Supporting practitioners in meeting the needs of the individual children and families.
2. To be a key person to a small group of children, which will include the planning and assessment of their key groups in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage and tracking their progress.
3. Ensuring children’s basic needs are always met, including but not limited to; good hygiene routines, nappies, meals.
4. To plan and carry out large group activities meeting the needs of individual children and working with their interests
5. To document the development of the children within your key group and share this with the parents/carers of the children within your group
6. To liaise with parents/carers daily.
7. Ensuring an inclusive and safe environment having regard for SEN and safeguarding procedures and legislation
8. Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework in guidance with your practice with children
Requirements;
9. GCSE’s A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills
10. Must obtain a clear DBS
Hours;
11. Marsh Lane is open between the hours of 08.00-18:00 Monday-Friday
12. Working hours will be 40 hours per week
