Students in Key Stage 3 study Music for one hour a week throughout the year, with opportunities to study GCSE Music at Key Stage 4 and A-Level Music at Key Stage 5. The department enjoys its own specialist teaching facilities and practice rooms.
We are looking for someone who can teach all aspects of the Music Curriculum at Key Stage 3 and GCSE, with the possibility of teaching A-Level. This post is suitable for Early Career Teachers, and we will also consider applications from experienced or Early Career Teachers who would like to work on a part-time contract (0.6 or above).
A key element of the role will be to work with the Music Subject Performance Leader to lead on a wide range of extra-curricular Music opportunities across the school. The successful candidate will have sufficient time to run these opportunities, allowing students to learn an instrument and perform in front of various audiences.
