Summary This position uses technical, professional, and leadership skills to assume the operational management for the provision of Respiratory (Respiratory, The Pines, EKG and Cardiac Stress services) in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings. Under the direction and guidance of leadership, o versees daily operations, work flow and performance to ensure policies and procedures are in effect to achieve expert care, superior service and optimal clinical outcomes. Works closely with all physician groups and hospital departments to promote and enhance Respiratory services. Ensures state, federal and regulatory requirements are identified, monitored and met. Minimum Education Graduate of an AMA accredited educational program for Respiratory Therapy. Bachelors level education in health care related field. Minimum Work Experience 5 years of clinical experience in Respiratory Care. 3 years of experience in a leadership role preferred. Previous experience in a management or supervisory position preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Current VT State license. BLS Certification through American Heart Association. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Able to work in a dynamic, diverse and fast paced environment. Good organizational skills. Leadership skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to details and analytical skills. Must have an excellent knowledge of all aspects of respiratory care. Skills in communication, teaching and organization are a requisite for this position, as well as an ability to work with and relate to a wide variety of people.
