Description: This is a Fixed-Term role (1 year). The Hub Senior Management Accountant role involves leading the management accounting function, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, extensive experience in financial management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the timely production and maintenance of regional office working schedules for month-end, ensuring accurate and compliant management accounts.
2. Prepare and review monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset registers.
3. Conduct P&L and balance sheet reviews, providing variance commentary and ensuring compliance with group finance policies.
4. Act as the finance contact for internal and external queries, disseminating new policies and requirements from head office to the team.
5. Prepare and disseminate monthly variance reports to Area Partners and assist in weekly credit control and cash outflow meetings.
6. Design and implement appropriate controls and systems with the Hub Finance Controller to ensure financial reporting aligns with Group requirements.
7. Manage monthly hub intercompany reconciliations and support robust credit control systems.
8. Ensure timely completion of hub bank reconciliations and preparation of weekly cash forecasts.
9. Undertake tax calculations and support the preparation of year-end packs, VAT returns, and statutory payments.
10. Prepare audit information and support external auditors with ad-hoc analysis.
11. Assist in setting up conversion ledgers and supporting new acquisitions to ensure compliance with Group policies and procedures.
Key Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with accounting qualifications CA, ACA, ACCA, or a minimum of AAT.
2. Strong attention to detail.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Ability to train, develop, and support the management accounts team.
Additional Requirements:
1. Intermediate Excel user.
2. Good analytical skills.
3. Knowledge of IFRS desirable.
4. Experience using Xero desirable.
