Technical Project Manager (Accounting, Compliance) – Software Solution – Remote

My new client is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their growing team. As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution and delivery of their solutions to Enterprise customers. You will be the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and on-time project completion.
Responsibilities:
1. Partner with engineering and product teams to define project tasks, timelines, owners and priorities. Liaise with sales team to ensure these are aligned with the customer onboarding timelines.
2. Drive accountability, ownership and focus to ensure clear responsibilities and strong awareness of deadlines to enable a fast pace of delivery.
3. Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including milestones, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.
4. Proactively identify, escalate and manage project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.
5. Work with the Product Delivery team, ensuring that the product features are delivered in accordance with the customer contract.
6. Track project progress and performance against KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and course correction as needed.
7. Break down complex technical concepts into clear and concise communication for non-technical stakeholders.
8. Manage and maintain technical documentation, including project artifacts, user stories, and test plans.
9. Shield roadmap and team focus from priorities detracting from project goals.
10. Drive feedback loops between business development, sales and product teams to ensure learnings from market conversations are fed through to inform roadmap prioritisation.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum 2+ years of experience in technical project management.
2. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects on time.
3. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) with an emphasis on Agile methodologies.
4. Excellent stakeholder management, organisation and communication skills.
5. Experience working with enterprise customers.
6. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
7. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Github, Jira, Asana) and familiarity with data management tools is a plus.
Bonus Points:
1. Experience working with accounting software or in the financial services sector.
2. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
3. Software development experience.
