Will work flexibly to meet business demands. Working safely and in line with the highest standards of current Good Manufacturing Practice, to meet agreed production schedules. Identify and work with the team to actively improve equipment and processes within the Value Stream.
Carry out both planned, reactive, and predictive maintenance on VS Packaging, Manufacturing and Process Equipment.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide support for breakdowns within the department.
* Maintain and repair the equipment to validated specification.
* Perform Internal calibrations.
* Evaluate breakdowns and stoppages and communicate in a timely manner.
* First response to machine breakdown.
* Maintaining equipment and assets in a safe, compliant, and reliable order.
* Develop and demonstrate key skills pertaining to job role.
* Set up and changeover of production equipment.
* Process knowledge – relating to WI’s, SOP’s, and Manufacturing Records.
* Provide technical advice and solutions for equipment issues.
* Sanitisation of production equipment to validated procedures.
* Continuously develop knowledge and skills to meet business priorities, new product introductions and legislation as communicated by the management team.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience required in relevant job role.
* Use your own skills to work with and develop other members of the team.
* To participate in training and ensure that all training is applied effectively.
* Ensure your own training file is kept up to date.
* Be willing and able to coach others (Technicians, Ops, Process Ops, and Setters) and develop understanding of others in equipment use and issues.
* Identify key personnel and assist in developing their skills and understanding of the equipment so that they can assist with routine maintenance tasks; recognising this creates more time for the engineering team to deliver further improvements.
* Use your own skills and knowledge to support the department.
* Complete and maintain GMP documentation in line with Current Good Manufacturing Practice.
* Provide “hands on” Engineering support within the value stream.
Education: Formal Engineering Qualification NVQ level 3 or equivalent, C&G Technician or equivalent.
Experience of working in a FMCG environment, preferably in GMP, Pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry.
