About the role
We are looking for a Senior Recovery Officer to join our Revenues Team. Primary responsibilities will be to support the Recovery Team to deliver a high-quality collection, management and recovery of Council Tax and business rates.
About you
You will be a highly motivated individual who:
is a team player
can represent the Council at Magistrates Court and is able to decide on appropriate enforcement proceedings for accounts that have fallen into arrears
is a strong, clear communicator and is able to provide information in person, on the telephone or in writing
can make effective decisions under time pressure
has experience in dealing with a wide range of customers
has strong knowledge of debt recovery processes.

For many of our roles (and where it is possible) we are currently working remotely and anticipate in the future returning to a hybrid office model on a flexible basis. Candidates should therefore be within commutable distance of our offices in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire or able to attend meetings as required if further afield.
