Samuel is recruiting for a Controls Design Engineer for a North Derbyshire based company that specializes in delivering automation projects that involve variable speed drives and motion/servo control applications.
The company is open to considering a wide range of levels of experience from a fresh graduate right up to an experienced Controls Design Engineer.
Key aspects of the Controls Design Engineer role include (successful Controls Design Engineer is likely to have some of the following):
* You’ll need a passion for engineering
* Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
* Strong knowledge of electrical control system design
* Knowledge of major manufacturer’s drives and control products, e.g. ABB, Control Techniques, Rockwell/Allen Bradley, and Siemens
* AC/DC drives integration knowledge
* PLC programming experience
* Electrical schematic design
Other aspects to consider:
* Role will involve site-based commissioning
* The team you’ll be joining is small, which means you’ll be involved in all aspects of project delivery and will have the opportunity to gain plenty of exposure; you’ll also get to see what you’ve been working on right through to completion.
* The company works in a range of industries, so you’ll have exposure to many different challenges and technologies.
* When the project demands allow, you’ll be able to work from home.
* The company specializes in new system designs, upgrades, and retrofits on behalf of OEMs and special purpose machine manufacturers.
* All candidates applying must have a UK driving licence and be able to work in the UK without sponsorship.
