Duties: To provide effective co-ordination across all College sites for the delivery of a high-quality careers and educational guidance service to individuals and groups of students (16-18, 19 and SEN) from pre-entry to exit across all 8 Gatsby benchmarks. To actively promote the availability and accessibility of the careers and education guidance service. To maintain appropriate students’ records and provide statistical information on the usage of the service. To maintain and develop effective internal and external partnerships to ensure that students receive accurate and up-to-date and impartial advice, information and guidance. Attend various external boards and meetings with external stakeholders to represent the college and inform on careers. Lead on planning and running of careers and employability-related events within designated campus/campuses. Collaborate with curriculum, apprenticeship and enrichment teams to support an effective careers service internally. Seek feedback from students on relevant activities and events and ensure this is in the development of future provision. Provide course and careers guidance to vulnerable students working closely with their support teams and local services. Lead on the organisation, administration, delivery, development and quality assurance of progression and UCAS. Monitor and collate UCAS applications and references, (across all campuses), to ensure quality assurance. Skills/Experience: Experience of working with students in post 16 education or similar environment as an Educational Careers Guidance Adviser. Ability to co-ordinate and motivate staff. Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills. Collaborative and enthusiastic team player. Qualifications: 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C or above. Career Guidance and Development Qualification, L6 or equivalent (or willing to complete the qualification). Educated to degree level (preferable).
