Job summary This role is within the Finance team of the Devon Integrated Care Board with a particular focus on Primary Care and Prescribing services. This team mainly provides financial management, processing of payments and support for the commissioning of services from General Practice. We work to ensure that the commissioning of services is undertaken with the highest level of professionalism, to ensure key targets and objectives are delivered with the interest of patients at the centre. We are a busy team who work well together to get all our urgent queries and payments made accurately and on time. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with good communication skills to work within our team. A good knowledge of Excel would be useful. You must be organised and able to work under pressure. We will also support you to develop within this organisation. Main duties of the job This role will include managing our Finance inbox, responding to queries and distributing to other team members as appropriate. This will include General Practice staff, colleagues at NHS England or within our own Primary Care team and other external providers. You will meet with the team each week to discuss priorities and deadlines but also to address any outstanding issues. The role will be supporting the creation of payments, collating claims and inputting into payment systems. You will also raise invoices to other suppliers. Providing support for our month end process including monitoring spend and preparing/uploading journals. You will need to support the team in setting up new payment schemes as per national guidance and putting processes in place. We use several finance systems which you will be trained in and will use/maintain as required. The nature of this area means all ad-hoc work and queries as required. We have a hybrid working arrangement so the successful candidate will work between home and our Exeter office where staff are expected to attend at least one day a week.
