Scrum Master/Senior Scrum Master Ref. 3393
Salary: £55,667 (Scrum Master) and £67,862 (Senior Scrum Master), dependent on skills and experience, with an opportunity to qualify for additional allowances and a skills-related payment under the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability framework (DDaT).
Flexible Working: We support full-time, part-time, compressed and other flexible working patterns. However, this is an office-based role, and therefore, opportunities for remote working and/or working from home cannot be accommodated due to the nature of our work.
About Us: MI5 keeps the country safe from serious threats like terrorism and attempts by states to harm the UK, its people, and its way of life. We carry out investigations by obtaining, analysing, and assessing intelligence, and then work with a range of partners, including MI6 and GCHQ to disrupt these threats.
Senior Scrum Master: As a Senior Scrum Master, you’ll work with multiple teams to deliver our most complex products. Your responsibilities will include ensuring cohesive delivery across teams, coaching them in Agile best practices, and removing impediments that affect multiple teams.
Scrum Master: In this role, you’ll collaborate with teams to deliver products for our customers, ensuring the team performs to the best of their ability and overcomes any issues or dependencies.
Our Scrum Masters must think quickly and be effective when responding to issues within our live operational IT systems. Strong organisation and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a proactive attitude to implement agile methodologies.
About You: You’ll focus on the needs of the team, emphasising collaboration and mutual support. You should possess strong organisation skills and be comfortable planning your own and others’ time, with experience in an Agile environment.
Training and Development: You’ll have a full induction to our organisation and training towards becoming a Certified Scrum Master if you’re not already certified.
