Job responsibilities
Our innovative Community Rehabilitation team are looking for a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, upon a permanent contract to provide clinical leadership, alongside holistic assessments and treatments to the population of Mid Devon and North Dartmoor. The role will cover community based patients across the cluster in addition to the nursing and residential home patients within the area. The role will incorporate working alongside Occupational therapists, Rehabilitation Support Workers, and Administration staff to improve quality of life of the patients and service users.
* To assess and treat own caseload, which may include complex presentations and to maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner.
* To assist senior staff in the education and supervision of junior colleagues, rehabilitation support workers, carers and students.
* To assist senior staff in daily management of the team and provision of community rehabilitation service, deputising for the Therapy Manager in their absence.
* To assist senior staff in development and maintenance of an efficient and effective service.
* To contribute to the inter-disciplinary working within the community rehabilitation team, urgent community response team, and Locality by teaching, learning & practicing inter-disciplinary skills.
* To provide specialist therapy skills to the Community Rehabilitation team across a five-day rota.
* To participate in the On-Call Senior Community Clinician rota, covering out of core hours inclusive of weekends and bank holidays.
* To provide specialist therapy skills to the Residential and Nursing Homes within the Mid Devon and North Dartmoor area.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.
