At Safegate, we operate within a niche of the construction safety industry, serving a solely B2B market. As the UK's number one provider and installer of lift shaft safety gates, we also deliver specialist training in edge protection and working at height.
We’re looking for a creative all-rounder who thrives in B2B environments and has strong experience in both marketing and design. This is a hands-on, standalone role, ideal for someone ready to take ownership of Safegate’s brand, messaging, and content delivery. You'll report into various levels of management and, at times, directly to the Managing Director so confidence, initiative, and the ability to manage your own workload are key.
About the Role
As our in-house creative and marketing specialist, you’ll be responsible for producing and managing all external and internal visual content, brand communication, and digital channels. From digital design to brand strategy and campaign rollout, you’ll play a key role in evolving how Safegate presents itself to clients, partners, and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create compelling digital marketing assets, including banners, text ads, motion graphics, and interactive content
* Write and edit copy for digital channels (website, email, social media)
* Design and produce print-ready assets such as brochures, flyers, and exhibition materials
* Manage and organise our growing photo and video library
* Support internal communications, including training campaigns and staff updates
* Ensure brand consistency across all media and departments
* Optimise content for SEO and accessibility standards
* Develop and pitch creative ideas for new campaigns and initiatives
* Support with basic video production, including filming and editing content
* Provide guidance to staff on the correct use of brand assets and templates
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves:
* Strong experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects or Premiere Pro)
* Confident copywriting and editing skills
* Solid B2B marketing background
* Highly organised with excellent task and time management
* Understanding of WordPress for basic content updates
* Good eye for design, layout, and visual storytelling
* Comfortable producing print-ready files
* Basic video production/editing skills (e.g. animated text, simple edits)
Nice-to-Haves:
* Experience using Canva
* Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g. Buffer)
* Confident filming short-form video content
* Experience supporting events or exhibitions
