Job Title: Configuration Manager
Our client is looking for a Configuration Manager with active security clearance to work hybrid. The Configuration Manager is accountable for day to day implementation and management of the configuration management process focusing on:
1. Use of standard methods and procedures for management and maintenance of the configuration process;
2. Ensuring that all changes to Configuration Items are recorded as part of the change process;
3. Ensuring all configuration items are identified, documented, maintained and controlled through their lifecycle;
4. Initiate and implement process improvement from insight from process performance measures and end user feedback through the Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) process;
5. Review/Reports performance of configuration management reporting on performance against SLAs and KPIs and insights from trend analysis.
Key Accountabilities
1. Ensuring that all process and policy documentation is maintained under configuration management, reflecting best practice and the daily service operation;
2. Planning and managing improvements to Configuration Management plans, policies, processes and management tools;
3. The ongoing review of relevant and appropriate Key Performance Indicators for Configuration Management processes;
4. Developing and maintaining the Configuration Management Process;
5. Monitoring the effectiveness of Configuration Management and implementing recommendations for improvement;
6. Driving efficiency and effectiveness of the Configuration management Process against SLA/OLA targets and contractual requirements;
7. Producing management information to all stakeholders of the supported applications/products and services;
8. Effective interaction and integration with other service support process areas;
9. Ensuring consistent and high quality service to the customer;
10. Ensuring that appropriate safety and ergonomic processes and methods are being utilised in all areas of work;
11. Managing process quality assurance through process audits and quality checks assuring process adherence and resolving breaches along with feedback on process pain points from process end customers and process practitioners;
12. Establish and ensure compliance with configuration management policies and procedures;
13. Develop configuration management plans, standards and best practice;
14. Implement and maintain configuration tools and software;
15. Identify and document configuration items (CIs) and establish baselines;
16. Maintain an accurate and up to date configuration management database;
17. Control changes to CIs and ensure traceability;
18. Perform regular configuration verification and audits;
19. Conduct configuration audits to ensure compliance with standards, regulations and procedures;
20. Work closely with development, operations and quality assurance teams;
21. Ensure configuration items conform to their documentation;
22. Identify and resolve discrepancies;
23. Communicate configuration management processes and status to stakeholders;
24. Updating training, creating awareness and publicising new configuration management capabilities and procedures to stakeholders as well as advising/training/supporting colleagues in process adoption and performance.

9. 5+ years of related experience; administering and delivering Configuration Management;
10. ITIL certification;
11. Agile/SAFe experience;
12. Strong customer facing skills with an ability to interact in confidence with clients.
