This role is suitable for an ecologist looking to progress their career in environmental consultancy. The ideal candidate should be flexible and a good communicator, with a willingness to learn and develop their career while gaining experience in the field.
The ideal candidate will bring some previous field experience, the ability to work independently, and a respectful and positive approach to their work. You should be keen to work as a team and represent enims well, even when not under direct supervision.
As someone with experience in ecological consultancy, you will understand the importance of timekeeping and delivering high-quality work.
This role involves both office-based work and supporting our senior team. You will be required to attend sites regularly, travel to various locations, and may need to stay away. You should be comfortable working different shifts, including day shifts, night shifts, and seasonal surveying such as dusks and pre-dawns.
Our ideal candidate will:
1. Have previous ecology experience
2. Hold a BSc in a relevant subject
3. Hold a full UK Driving Licence and have a car, willing to drive to multiple sites
4. Have a willingness to learn and develop skills
5. Have good IT skills, be confident using Office 365 (including Outlook) and a cloud-based system
6. Hold or be willing to obtain a CSCS card qualification
7. Be a member of CIEEM or hold alternative suitable professional membership
8. Have a positive attitude towards work and be a team player
9. Be able to work independently as a representative of enims and seek help when required
10. Have excellent Health and Safety understanding and be prepared to participate in health and safety training
11. Have a keen interest in ecology and a drive to further your career
12. Be a friendly, supportive individual who fits into our team
