Six Month Contract for a Soft Services Manager – Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm- 40 hour paid at £23 per hrs - £920 Working for the UK’s leader in Environmental & Facility Management Solutions with a turnover of £3bn, who are looking for a Soft Services Manager for their facilities Management department working for their client, aerospace engineering giant Airbus, working in their high tech Portsmouth facility. The Soft Services Manager will be responsible for the Management of the cleaning activities days, focus is primarily good practice in cleaning, janitorial services and office cleaning services. Responsible for the technical delivery of the cleaning from 08:00 to 17:00. The role requires a skilled manager, preferably, with significant experience, compliance and safety focussed. You will report to the Veolia Contracts Manager to maximise the delivery of the cleaning services. You will be an Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) role model to the wider site team and promote good practice and good values. Liaison with the client (Airbus) to build and develop good working relationships and promote the activities of Veolia, in a courteous and professional manner. Job Responsibilities: Management & organisation of cleaning teams delivering services from 06:00 to 17:00 and co-ordination of activities within scope. (You will work (8am – 5pm) Client requirements and compliance is maintained as per site procedures; any deviations are reported and investigated as required Execution of work programme Ensure training, coaching and development of teams Optimisation of all activities within scope Review of works completed Assist in measurement and management of performance against agreed KPIs Proactive management of sickness and absence within teams Providing leadership and management to supervisory team Identification and filling of roles on team when/if required All safety and environmental excursions are tracked, monitored and reported to the appropriate department/body and investigated as appropriate, as per site procedures and statutory requirements Training curricula of each team member is maintained at the required level, and any new/updated training is implemented to relevant personnel. Ensure all team members are qualified for respective roles Identify and implement appropriate training programmes to improve skill sets and develop individual career paths Attend training sessions required for the role Skills & Experience Essential: Cleaning Management experience in similar role. Demonstrable Health & Safety experience.
