Job Description Summary The Clinical Support Manager (North) role is a key position in the BD Medication Delivery Solution (MDS) business unit in the UKI organisation and their primary responsibility is to manage the Peripheral and Central Vascular Access Management Clinical Specialists in the Northern Team. In addition, the Clinical Support Manager will work closely with the UKI Medical Manager developing the medical and clinical workstreams in collaboration with the UKI business teams that support the operational & strategic activities of the business. This is a field-based role. Travel: 50% travel, including overnight stays will be required for the role. Become a maker of possible with us Our vision for Medication Delivery Solutions at BD As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team provide a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anaesthesia and closed medication management. Main responsibilities will include: - The Management of the Northern MDS Clinical Specialist Team (7 direct reports) - Defining and executing the Medical and Clinical Affairs strategy in alignment with the BU UKI Medical Manager & Business team - Coordinate the Clinical Team as well as being an active participant in the delivery of planned and ad-hoc medical & clinical support to HCP in support of the business strategies. - Providing technical expertise and education related to the clinical applications of BD Medication Delivery Solutions portfolio with a focus on Peripheral and Central Vascular Access Management. - Coordinate the delivery of product & educational trainings from level 1 specific product training, through level 2: advance product training and level 3: advanced practice training for HCP. - Identify opportunities for improvement and the development of new education & training materials required to enable the business strategy of the region. - Support the UKI Medical Manager, Market Access Manager and Medical Advisors to create a KOL & scientific society strategy supporting advocacy and engagement initiatives - Lead on key KOL engagement activities aligned with business objectives - Coordinates the identification of evidence generation opportunities with their Clinical team - Manage the team to support the business projects, by providing expertise and insight into business projects. About you - Registered Nurse or allied Health Care Professional with current professional registration - Bachelor's degree in health-related field - 5 years clinical experience in acute healthcare - Experience managing/leading teams - Highly knowledgeable and skilled in Vascular Access Management procedure - Previous professional experience in medical/clinical roles in Pharma and/or Medical Companies is highly desirable - Knowledge of the Healthcare System and medical device industry, including relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards which apply to interactions with HCPs, payers, and industry representatives. - Strategic thinking and the ability to analyse critical factors and variables that will influence long-term success. - Problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to take a broad perspective and develop multiple solutions. - Effective communication skills, with the ability to deliver influential presentations tailored to the target audience.
