We are seeking a veterinary Nurse Auxiliary to join our friendly and supportive specialist-led team in assisting the clinical teams with their daily tasks.
* Daily care of machinery and equipment
* Running laboratory samples
* Theatre cleaning and closing down
* Patient handling and restraint
* Providing general care to all of our patients
* General cleaning within the clinical areas as needed

Situated just outside of High Wycombe (J4, M40), Buckinghamshire, Hamilton Specialist Referrals (HSR) is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital that provides the latest in specialist treatments for cats and dogs, supported by an exceptional rehabilitation and physiotherapy facility.
The hospital is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and can offer the most advanced treatment options available for Orthopaedic, Neurology, Soft Tissue, Oncology, and Internal Medicine cases.
Despite working within such a large team, we pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly and supportive culture with a focus on development, clinical excellence, and gold-standard patient care.
What we need from you
We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and approachable person who is a great team player but is also able to use initiative and self-motivation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task with a flexible approach to working are a must.
Candidates must have experience in handling small animals, whether in a professional or personal capacity. Experience in a medical animal care role is desirable, i.e. Veterinary Care or Patient Care Assistant, though not essential. You must be a team player as our Nurse Auxiliaries play a key role in supporting our specialists, interns and nurses in looking after our patients at our busy hospital. You must be willing and able to clean to high clinical standards to help maintain our high standards of infection control. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Working pattern
This role is full-time, covering 40 hours per week on a rota basis. The rota includes 1 in 6 weekends, for which time back in lieu is given.
