Yarmouth Performing Arts Coordinator/House Manager
Stipend: $10,000
Job Description:
Coordinator
1. Coordinates with Yarmouth High School (office administrative assistant) and Community Services (ActiveNet) for scheduling events.
2. Provides essential information regarding facility use, scheduling, and user fees.
3. Provides oversight of the facility, including ordering supplies, scheduling repairs, or maintaining equipment.
4. Oversees installation of needed auditorium accessories as budget allows.
5. Reports any damage or loss of equipment to the Director of Business Services.
6. Coordinates with the Director of Business Services regarding income/expenses of facility rentals.
House Manager
1. Ensures renters have a qualified technical person/tech crew.
2. Trains capable and responsible students in technical aspects of auditorium operation to form a pool of qualified technical personnel.
3. Monitors the security of the space.
4. During high school assemblies:
1. Sets up and breaks down the requested equipment: PowerPoint, microphones, screen, etc.
2. Lines up a tech crew to manage the sound/light booth.
3. Assists in ensuring orderly entrance and exit of students.
1. During functions with other Yarmouth schools or outside groups:
1. Connects with the group’s representative to determine their technical needs and time of arrival.
2. Greets the group and stays on site for the whole time they are in the building.
3. Sets up and breaks down the requested equipment: PowerPoint, microphones, screen, risers, monitors, etc.
4. Lines up tech crew to manage sound/light booth.
5. Ensures that the custodian has arrived.
6. Ensures the orderly behavior of the audience from entrance to exit.
