Group Installation/ Maintenance Electrician role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and smooth operation across various sites or projects.
Group Installation/ Maintenance Electrician responsibilities:
Applicants will be working as part of our Group Engineering in Oldham, Rochdale and Littleborough.
To handle production needs related to engineering issues and breakdowns and conduct routine testing and inspections of electrical systems and portable equipment.
To cut costs by using the preventative maintenance system to reduce unplanned maintenance and help the maintenance manager with projects and developments.
To ensure maintenance activities comply with ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, and other customer-specific standards.
Assist Engineering Manager with ongoing/new projects.
To enhance process efficiency by reducing downtime using the PPM system and C.I.P. process.
To comply with BS 7671 standards for electrical installations.
Carry out essential legislative testing of electrical equipment and systems.
To work as part of a team to optimise company performance and achieve targets and liaise, when necessary, with external contractors.
To maintain essential stock levels and collaborate with the maintenance manager to identify process improvements.
To collaborate with the organization on training and job development to meet production demands.
Group Installation/ Maintenance Electrician requirements:
A recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and other relevant qualifications with at least 3years experience within a similar role are essential.
A working knowledge of A.C and D.C. drives would be preferred as would the ability to work on P.L.C systems.
Experience of ATEX equipment an advantage
To work safely within the company’s Health and Safety Procedures.
To have a flexible approach towards overtime, shutdown working and call-out cover as required.
