Description:
The Energy Division at ARM is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defence client based out of Devonport dockyard.
Job Overview:
The client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to support ship and submarine sustainment programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the delivery of mechanical engineering work packages to meet scope, quality, schedule and cost requirements.
* Lead technical design packages, agreeing project objectives, managing designer performance and providing subject matter expert advice.
* Ensure design documentation meets project needs and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.
* Plan effective project implementation, identifying key factors and leading technical planning.
* Implement Quality Management Arrangements, operating through compliance with Babcock's Business Management System and Technical Manual.
* Maintain records and apply configuration and quality controls.
Requirements:
* Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline.
* Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council or working towards Chartership.
* Nuclear Introductory Course or equivalent nuclear and/or marine system knowledge preferred.
* Alternatively, experience in other safety-critical plant/process design considered.
