Social Media Editor
Description
CRAFT FILMS: JUNIOR EDITOR/ CONTENT CREATOR.
Craft Films works across a broad range of content including commercial, social and broadcast television. We are a growing, fun and engaged team who take pride in our work and exceed our clients’ expectations wherever possible.
We are excited to be expanding our in-house London based team with a Junior Editor/ Content Creator.
We are looking for a talented team member who is skilled in the edit and experienced in the creation of cutting-edge social/digital first content across various platforms and brands.
You will work creatively across a range of projects – from short branded content pieces to socials, trailers & BTS films.
You will need a strong knowledge of all Adobe Creative cloud software, including Premiere Pro & After Effects, as well as a keen interest and knowledge of current cultural trends & creative techniques used across social media platforms, and how we could implement them across our clients & projects.
You will be full of ideas but also love working with our team to bring ideas to life. Organisation skills along with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail is key, as is the ability to work well as part of a team, take initiative and keep a level head under pressure.
You will need experience using current camera equipment, such as the Sony FX3 & FX9 cameras and gimbals. Craft Films has in-house camera kit and crew, who can provide training and advice.
You will also assist on some of the larger broadcast projects – supporting senior editors in providing technical support, ingesting media and preparing projects, as well as assisting production teams on location with data-wrangling and logging. You will ensure deliverables are technically correct through both Eyeball QC and Automated QC processes and you will be responsible for the delivery of files to broadcasters, delivery partners and client approvals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Edit and assemble video footage, ensuring high-quality, engaging content.
2. Collaborate with the creative team to bring concepts to life.
3. Incorporate motion graphics and animation elements into video projects.
4. Assist with the organisation and management of media assets.
5. Using in-house equipment to create content for Craft’s clients.
6. Serve as a Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) on location, ensuring the proper handling and storage of media files, color correction, and data management.
Most weeks we offer remote working on Wednesday and Fridays; however, you will be expected to attend the office (in Shoreditch, London) when delivering projects or when otherwise needed.
Craft Films are an equal opportunities employer and we encourage and welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Please note that we are not set up for sponsorship so applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
