We are working in partnership with a specialist school near Lancaster who support pupils with additional needs ages 3-19. The school are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants Full Time or Part Time due to a recent increase in pupil numbers for their EYFS class. The role will be a long term role with the view to have the opportunity to apply to transfer over to a permanent contract for the right person.
They are looking for qualified staff or open to giving someone a chance to start their SEND career you can come from any background care, sports, own personal connection. You need to be resilient and want to make a difference to a pupil with complex SEND needs. You will receive full support and training to do the role and work in small classes within a Team of Teaching Assistants.
Role 1 - Full Time - Early Years
Role 2 - Part Time- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday- EYFS
What the school are looking for;
- Ideally Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Health and Social Care Qualification or equivalent open to Unqualified or Level 2 Qualification
- Experience in supporting pupils with SEND this could come from a wide range of backgrounds from own family members, sports coaching, social/residential care, mainstream which transfer to a teaching assistant role
- A real passion in supporting pupils with their individual need
- Strong Team Work skills due to you will be working within a team of teaching assistants
- A resilient teaching assistant who is open to change every day will be different
