Job Description
We are looking for someone to assist our growing tax team, predominantly with a corporation tax bias.
The key responsibilities required for the role are as follows:
1. Review of corporation tax returns prepared by the accounts team and liaise with clients on compliance matters that may need addressing as a result of the review.
2. Analysis of larger groups including group loss relief and restrictions.
3. All tax compliance matters for property companies consisting of commercial and residential properties.
4. Be responsible for ensuring all monthly Quarterly Instalment Payment calculations are completed and clients are aware in good time.
5. Providing ad hoc advisory to clients on tax matters with an awareness of the following topics:
1. MBOs
2. Transfer pricing/ overseas tax issues
3. Corporate interest restrictions
4. Leases
6. Assisting partners with tax advisory work including approaching external providers to provide bespoke advice where needed.
7. Tax repayment claims and related working papers.
8. Liaise with clients/HMRC/ external advisors by post, email, and phone as required.
9. Be responsible for billing clients for work completed.
10. Manage workload and be efficient in time keeping.
11. Working with a wide range of clients across many sectors including property development/ investment, technology, and food and beverage.
