Contract
* 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
* £30,000 per annum plus tips

Role Overview
Responsible for processing invoices and managing outgoing payments to suppliers including a pivotal role in managing our purchase management solution Procure Wizard; Managing cash and bank and payroll administration.
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Main Responsibilities
Operational/Functional Responsibilities
* Administration and management of Purchase Ledger to include: Processing POs; Monthly Supplier Statement reconciliations; Supplier, Payroll and Business expense payment processing;
* Be the Finance team expert on Procure Wizard
* Data imports into Sage 50
* Payroll administration using Sage 50 payroll
* Cash and bank administration and cashbook reconciliations
* Oversee the accounts payable ledger and provide advice to management on any actions required
* Liaise with external auditors and assist them with any queries as appropriate
* Any other duties as may be deemed necessary for assistance with the smooth running of the Finance Team/Business
* Be a process improvement champion within the role
Leadership, People & Training
* Participate in training and development to ensure you are expert in your role, and that all designated statutory training requirements are met
* Due to the confidentiality and sensitivity of some information encountered, this person is expected to act with integrity and professionalism
Partner relationships
* To prepare information and work with auditors to limit the audit time required
* Set an example to others in “customer service” standards, constantly and consistently role modelling and enforcing the importance of excellent customer service/supplier relations to the whole team

Communication
* Work closely alongside the FC, ensuring Cash and Purchase Ledger issues are dealt with promptly.
* Ensure that there are clear and appropriate lines of communication so that the whole team have all the information they need to enable them to work effectively
Person Specification
Essential
* Experience within a busy Purchase Ledger role with a high attention to detail
* Previous experience with cash and banking
* Strong experience with reconciliations of any @type, cash and creditor ledger in particular, with the ability and tenacity to follow accounts through to completion
* Demonstrable experience in accruals and prepayments
* Previous experience in HR/Payroll administration
* Up to AAT level, QBE will also be considered
* A real team player who thrives on being part of a team, but is comfortable with pressured and sometimes, difficult conversations.
* An ideas person. Someone who is excited about changing the business for the better and not afraid to critically evaluate the status quo and suggest/implement more efficient Ways of Working
* Someone who is comfortable using Excel to between Basic-Moderate standard
* This role demands a person who acts with professionalism and confidentiality at all times due to the sensitivity nature of some of the information involved
Desirable
* Sage 50 payroll experience
* Sage 50 Accounts Experience
