Role Overview You will be responsible for the smooth running of the Groups payroll including processing payroll monthly and all associated administrative duties. Responsibilities Processing monthly payroll for 500 employees Ability to manually calculate payroll Calculating maternity and other statutory payments Calculating and processing employee deductions, such as taxes, insurance, and other benefits. Processing starters and leavers in payroll software, process P45s, allocating correct tax codes and other associated duties Running and updating all associated payroll reports from the HR system Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all authorised amendments to the payroll system, including holiday, sickness, maternity and paternity payments Processing and manage deductions such as AOEs Managing workplace pension schemes and monthly submission to pension providers Online filing with HMR&C of FPS & EPS Providing payroll related information and guidance to employees and deal with variety of payroll queries in relation to SMP, SSP, Holiday Pay and tax codes and staying up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll Keeping up to date with laws and regulations in relation to Payroll Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years experience in a payroll position Computer Literate - advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Skills & Abilities Previous experience in payroll Impeccable attention to detail Excellent communication skills Strong organisation skills are essential, you must be able to plan and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
