We have an exciting new opportunity for a healthcare assistant to join the team based in Colne Medical Centre, on a part time basis for 30 hours per week. Colne Medical Centre serves the whole of Brightlingsea as well as its surrounding villages and has a branch surgery at Alresford. The team includes 5 GPs, 4 nurse practitioners, 1 paramedic, 3 practice nurses, 3 healthcare assistants, a pharmacy technician and physiotherapists, as well as the practice manager, administrative and reception staff. We are looking for someone who has experience of assisting patients with clinical requirements, liaising with clinical staff for healthcare needs, carrying out health checks and must have experience of using clinical systems. About the Candidate This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active health care assistant. The ideal candidate will have the following: A diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2. Experience of working with, and building working relationships with GP’s, nursing and administration staff. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to work independently as well as working in a team. Strong understanding of confidentiality.
